Executive Decision...

I made the executive decision this week to trust Matt. I'm sticking to the food and exercise plan, even though it has been pretty stringent. I'm not sure what I'll do if I don't lose either inches or weight by Wednesday because I've increased my cardio and the number of weight training sessions I'm doing as well to get over this plateau. I'm saying a little prayer over here...

Just wanna to drop by and say hi to you. I am also in my way to change lifestyle and lose weight. I blog too but in Chinese. Keep it up, I am sure both of us can achieve the goals!

Just to be helpful. If you are getting your calories burned from a readout on the machine, the numbers are probably higher than your true calorie burn. I believe that is why you are not losing weight. 1600 calories is running 16 miles. Do you think your '1600' calorie workout was as hard as running 16 miles?

Thanks for trying to be helpful, but these numbers aren't from a machine readout. While this may be true for an average person of average height and weight, if you are twice the weight of an average person, you will burn twice as many calories because your body is working harder. So, with that in mind and doing a bit of math, my 1600 calories is coming from about 8 miles, and on those days, I actually did about 10. But yes, I agree your true calorie burn is lower than what the machines say.

Doris, good luck with your goals! As hard as it is sometimes, it'll be worth it in the end!
